should i get golf lessons or should i just do it and learn myself.
Golf is a game of sense and feel with minimal tolerance for room for errors. If you are a real beginner I suggest you take golf lessons from a pro, just to get to know more about the intricacies or idiosyncrasies of the game of golf. Of course, if you're a born or natural sportstman you'll be able to pick up the game much faster.

If you are an extremely talented person…a natural athlete…do it yourself. Otherwise, take lessons from a respected pro.

You should get the lessons because you'll focus on what you need to know and the teacher will tell you the way to stad and hold the golf club. After a few lessons, you can do it on your own. Just be sure you know how to swing nicely.

Depends on what level of golf you aspire to. Most don't get lessons, and most that do usually dismiss the lessons if they don't work the first time.

I don't know if you are just playing for fun or what, if you playing very serious than I suggest you to have a coach. Look, even Tiger Woods have a coach.

Would you rather have a correct swing sooner or later? A proper swing, as well as all the fundamentals that go into one, will give you straighter shots and therefore a much more pleasant round of golf. It all depends on how much time you want to save trying to figure out all the correct stuff in a golf swing. Even after that, you have many different situations and shots you'll need to perform and an instructor will get you on the right path.

I played for 18 months with no lessons and a huge slice with my driver. I read lots of books and magazines but couldn't get the slice out. I was going to buy an R7 Draw but the pro at the shop convinced me to buy the R425 and spent a minute showing me how to rotate my wrists through the shot and now I can drive them straight. If I would have had that instruction 18 months ago there would be a lot less balls in the woods at my club. So yes, I would take lessons.
