Been golfing for 5 months with lessons once a week. I’m decent but my game still needs a lot of work. Do I still need lessons or can I figure it out on my own now? (Obviously can’t ask my coach this, we know what his answer would be!)
Ii have been golfing for 20 yrs and still take lessons, they help you realize all the mistakes and bad habits you make when you can see yourself on video and breakdown your swing
Most everywhere one goes in Kaui, has as many feral chickens as people. Yet there are none on the golf courses. Also, som areas seem to have only adult males, where others are babies.
Kukuiolono Golf Club
The Kukuiolono Golf Course & Park in Kalaheo is one of Kauai’s best-kept secrets.
Originally built as the personal golf course of sugar magnate Walter D. McBryde, and later donated by the family, Kukuiolono is now a delightful 9-hole public course. The course is in Kukuiolono Park,..In fact, you’ll see McBryde’s grave on the course, along with some other oddities like wild chickens, ancient Hawaiian rock structures, and Japanese gardens.
There are plenty of trees to keep you on your game. When you
get to the second tee box, check out the coconut tree dotted with yellow, pink, orange, and white golf balls that have been driven into
the bark.

Hi!
I went to the driving range & when i would hit the golf ball it would be a line drive on the ground instead of taking flight in the air..
It was really embarassing as it was my first time but there was just a bunch of old retired men so i didn’t really care..
I was using my driver..
How can i get the ball to go in the air when i hit it at the driving range?
Hi Samantha,
First of all, make sure the right driving range tee is in the mat, they can be changed so you don’t have to use the standard one just because it is there.
I would personally say the main reason why you are hitting daisy cutters is because you are coming up off the ball, in other words, lifting your head.
Next time you are there, just try to keep your head down and let the momentum of the swing take it up when it is meant to.
The other thing to try to maintain more flight is to try to distribute your weight a little better. Around 60% on your right sided, presuming you are right handed. Sometimes a lower ball flight can also be caused by transferring your weight too soon, getting ahead of the ball with your hands etc.
Hope this helps,
Trevor
I was just wondering how airlines would want your golf clubs to be packed for taking on a plane.
There are soft and hard cases for golf clubs. The soft case is similar to a duffel bag, but designed to fit around a golf bag. I’d recommend a hard case, since the top can be secured easily and there’s less chance of your clubs or bag being damaged in transit. The hard cases cost a little more, of course, but are worth it (especially if you have expensive clubs).
TSA typically screens golf bags as oversize baggage since they won’t fit through a standard baggage handling system, but don’t worry about that part. TSA officers are quite familiar with screening golf bags. I don’t know whether you’d be charged extra by the airline, so best to call or check their website.
I have some Spalding golf clubs in good shape. I never play golf and want to sell them. How do I find out what their value is?
